The Taste of Devonshire AlesDevon Pride - 3.8%A dark amber colour beer, which has a fruity aroma. Rich in flavour, this beer defies its a.b.v. with a surprising amount of body. Smooth to drink, with a malty palette and hints of fruit, which leads to a fruity finish on the beer. XSB - 4.2%A light amber colour beer with a fruity and malty aroma to it. South Hams Brewery's flagship beer has a more bitter edge to it than others do. Full of body and smooth to drink, this bitter edge gives way to malt undertones and then a delicate fruit finish. A good blend between bitter and sweet. Wild Blonde - 4.4%A golden coloured beer that is seriously refreshing. This light beer is overflowing with fruit in the palette, a small amount of crystal malt is mixed with the pale malt to give it the colour, and a slight hint of the malt flavour. A fair amount of Styrian Goldings hops are used and are unmistakable in its distinctive fruity aroma. Pandamonium - 4.8%This dark copper/red colour beer is brilliantly smooth. It has a complex fruity palette, mixed with undertones of roasted malt. A long lasting fruity aftertaste, together with the floral aroma will leave you wanting more. A beer of true distinction. Eddystone - 4.8%Not your usual IPA, this golden beer has a distinctly fruity aroma, and a very fruity palette. Slight hints of malt follow afterwards, but then the fruit returns! A not so bitter beer that uses cascade hops in abundance to deliver its character. An IPA of real taste. Devon Porter - 5.0%A dark black porter that uses an abundance of special malts. Remarkably easy to drink for the strength, this porter is low in bitterness and feels like silk on the throat! The palette is vastly complex with a huge amount of flavours that hit you one after the other, from the fruitiness of the hops to the roasted aftertaste. A brilliant mix of fruit and roasted malt come through on the aroma. This is one to savour! Knickadroppa Glory - 5.2%Copper in colour, with a fruity aroma and a smooth, crisp, malty taste. This beer has plenty of body and is a sensation on the palette with a mixture of special malts, also with fruit undertones. Leaves a long lasting fruity aftertaste. |
